Punjab State Assembly Election 2022 Date, Total Seats, Results, Exit Poll

Prashant Kishor was able to deliver the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s promised result. He can expect to achieve the same effect in the 2022 Punjab Assembly election for Capt Amrinder. Prashant Kishor has been appointed the chief political advisor to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Capt Amrinder Singh. He holds Cabinet rank. Prashant Kishor, the principal political advisor to Amrinder Sing, resigned recently.

However, Congress Punjab seems divided between two camps: one Camp of Chief Minister Amrinder Singh Siddu and another Camp of Navjot Singh. Navjot Singh, a former cabinet minister who is also a senior leader in the Congress party, has been attacking Capt Amrinder Singh since he failed to take action against Badals for Kotkapura’s firing incident. Recently, Siddhu was challenged by Punjab CM to run against him. He said that his former cabinet colleague would lose his deposit if he tries to challenge him. Siddhu shared a 2016 clip of Capt Amarinder “promising” to send Badals into jail for the Kotkapura firing incident.

Prashant Kishor, a retired election manager, announced his resignation amid all this fighting between Siddhu & Capt Amrinder. This is a big surprise for Punjab CM because he had Amrinder Sing as his political advisor. In all the drama, we must not forget how Congress decimated 4 out of 5 recent states. The biggest political challenge facing Congress in 2022 will be to retain Punjab.

The current term in Punjab of Capt Amrinder Singh’s government will end on 18 March 2022. Since 2017, Capt. Amrinder Singh, the Chief Minister of Punjab, took oath in 2017. He has experienced many ups as well as downs in his popularity. Recent ratings of Capt Amrinder Sei among the Top Chief Ministers in India indicate that his popularity in the state ranks lowest among all Chief Ministers.

The 2022 Punjab Assembly elections will be a four-cornered battle. Ruling Congress will be fighting to preserve the state against Aam Aadmi Party, Shiromani Akali Dal and BJP, which was once an ally in SAD’s Punjab. Due to Farm Law, BJP was the target of all the parties. Now they are looking to make a profit in the current environment that is against the BJP in Punjab.
